6/14 1 PM: GRAND OPENING

Things have been pretty quiet on the blog lately, but trust us, we've been putting in work trying to get the new space open. Well that day has finally come. This Saturday, June 14 at 1pm, we'll be celebrating the opening of our brand new location at 1318 East Pike St. There are still a few things unfinished but we feel it's important to get our new shop open as soon as possible.

We've got a ton of boxes full of new product from Nike and we're anxious to get it out to you. Expect plenty of new Jordans, Dunks, Blazers, AF1's and runners. We're also expanding our product offering to include books and magazines, more info on that soon.

Oh, and look what we found hiding in our old stock room during the move...

   

We'll also be launching our modest line of RPS brand products. Each colorway of cap and matching tee is limited to 30. The first two fitteds are staple colors, great for any occasion.

   

One of the things we sought to achieve when we first thought about moving our shop was to elevate Seattle's presence in this culture of ours. What better way to make an entrance than with these three colorways inspired by Seattle's professional sports teams.





If that isn't enough reasons for you to come celebrate the grand opening, N*E*R*D*'s new album just dropped yesterday and we'll be playing it in the shop. We'll be giving away free N*E*R*D* posters and you can also enter our drawing for N*E*R*D* merchandise, including CDs, vinyl, and t-shirts. Check out the BBC Ice Cream blog too.

If you've been to the shop lately, you've probably noticed things have changed around a bit. New signage on the windows, boxes of merchandise in the front, some new faces, and for lease signs...

Ever since we took over the shop almost 8 months ago, we have been working towards a relaunch, with a new identity and now, a new location. In early Summer, we will be moving the shop to a new space in the Pike/Pine neighborhood of Capitol Hill.



With the new location, we're going to be expanding our products to include new brands and merchandise, including our own modest line. With that said, we are pleased to announce that the shop you all knew as Capitol 1524, will now and forever be known as Rock Paper Scissors.



We're thankful for all the support we've received, and can't wait to share our vision of Rock Paper Scissors with you.

Air Jordan XV LS & Air Jordan VIII Release Holiday Party!!!

Capitol 1524 presents the Art of Movement b-boy crew, artwork by I.AM, and Massive Monkey's DJ Bles One. Join us as we celebrate the holidays with free drinks and entertainment, 9pm-12am this Friday, December 21. At 12am, we will promptly release the Air Jordans.



Inspired by the X-15 Jet, the Air Jordan XV has always been thought of as a shoe ahead of its time. Originally released in December, 1999, the AJXV LS features a woven upper, laser etching, and the numbers "23/6/15" on the heel, designating MJ's jersey number, championships won, and the Air Jordan model number.


   

Also releasing at midnight, the Jordan 8 Retro in black and red, aka the "Playoff" colorway. They will be available in both men and kids/women sizes.



And finally, just for the ladies, the Retro 8 Low in Dark Cinder leather and Champagne Sail (pink).
